Sugarcane
paper

Think of sugarcane paper, also known as bagasse paper, as the eco-friendly cousin of regular paper.

When liquid is extracted from sugarcane to make sugarcane juice, it leaves behind bagasse which is a dry, fibrous residue. These short fibres are similar to hardwood pulp and can be used to create a soft paper with all the qualities and benefits of traditional paper only stronger and without the need to cut down any trees in the process of its production.

Not only is this putting a natural, existing by-product to good use rather than throwing it away, the sugarcane paper being manufactured is biodegradable and non-toxic making it the ultimate sustainable alternative to conventional paper.
